• Airbus A321LR: It is a long-haul model with a range of 4,000 nautical miles and the spaciousness of a body in a single-aisle airplane.

Wide-body aircraft

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner: It is the highest-ranked airplane in the fleet that is utilized in international and long-haul flights. It boasts a two-class design, 282 seats, 26 in business, 256 in economy, and has been noted to have a roomy cabin and fuel efficiency.

Gulf Air boasts of its headquarters in Manama, Bahrain. It is a Bahraini-based airline that is owned by the Kingdom of Bahrain and has its hub at the Bahrain International Airport BAH.

Key Milestones

• 1950: British pilot Freddie Bosworth forms the Gulf Aviation Company Limited, thus making it one of the first commercial airlines in the Middle East.
• 1974: The company is acquired by the governments of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi on behalf of the UAE and renamed to Gulf Air, becoming a formal flag carrier in all four states.
• 1981: Gulf Air joins the International Air Transport Association IATA.
• 1990: The airline marks its 40th anniversary, and it becomes the first Arab airline to fly to Australia as it initiates flights to Singapore and Sydney.
• 2000: The airline suffered a tragic accident in the crash of the Gulf Air Flight 072 that killed all 143 passengers.
• 2007: The government of Bahrain nationalizes Gulf Air, and it becomes the national carrier of the country.
• 2025: Gulf Air reenters the United States market after almost 30 years with the introduction of new non-stop flights to JFK airport in New York.
