The main part of its medevac fleet consists of King Airs, and new developments such as first PC-24s medevac-equipped in Canada.
  • Headquarters: Keewatin Air has its headquarters at 50 Morberg way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (R3H 0A4). It has its bases in Rankin Inlet, Churchill, Iqaluit among other Northern areas to ensure efficiency in its operations.
  • Alliances/Partners: Keewatin Air is not involved in large global airline alliances as the large passenger carriers are, but does enter into operation and contractual alliances at both regional and government levels.

How to Contact

  • Phone Support: Callers are connected to charters, medevac coordination, and other services assistance by the main phone line number (204) 784-6524. This figure is considered to be the main one on which urgent or routine questions can be asked.
  • Email: Targeted emails can be used when addressing the following needs:
  • Social Media Handles: Keewatin Air is active on the social media platforms specifically Instagram and LinkedIn. These are used to distribute news of their medevac services, the introduction of the members of the team and their operations across Northern Canada.

Booking Process

  • Website/App booking steps: Keewatin Air does not use a normal online booking procedure system as the big commercial airlines. Rather, the customers are able to use the site to:
    • Go to the section Charter Services.
    • Complete an inquiry form with the details like travelling dates, destinations, passenger numbers, and any special requests.
    • Allow one of the representatives to get back to you with aircraft availability, prices, and the next steps.
    • Check the quote given and make a booking to the charter team.

In the case of medevac services, the plans are typically organized directly by the health care providers or governmental organizations instead of personal bookings made online.

  • Alternative methods: Customers should also be able to book services through direct calling to Keewatin Air on the phone. To request a charter quote, to ensure that the aircraft is available, to negotiate logistics of medical transport and inquire about the schedule and operations, it is usually the most efficient and quickest to speak with a representative. The airline is a 24/7 carrier and therefore support is offered anytime and this is very critical to urgent medical or time sensitive travel requirements.

John M (Albania)

I have used Keewatin Air on two occasions on medevac flights and their pilots are absolute experts when dealing with the vicious weather of Nunavut. The King Air people brought my family to Winnipeg safely through a storm, and there was a swift reaction and excellent treatment all the way. Greatly recommended in case of an emergency in the north; they save lives.
